Mass at the Shrine of Berdychiv
On his journey, Cardinal Parolin made a stop at the Episcopate of the Metropolitan of Lviv of the Latins before visiting the city of Odesa. The pinnacle of his visit will be on Sunday, July 21st, when he will preside over Mass at Berdychiv for the culmination of the pilgrimage. The Shrine, located in the Zhytomyr Oblast, is a revered destination for Catholic pilgrims seeking solace and grace.
Over the past few years, the Shrine has attracted pilgrims from all over Ukraine and beyond who come to seek the intercession of Mary for peace. It is a deeply spiritual and sacred place, making it the ideal setting for this significant celebration.
Meeting with Authorities
As part of his itinerary, Cardinal Parolin will also visit the Greek-Catholic Cathedral in Kyiv and meet with Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church. Additionally, he will engage with Ukrainian civil and religious leaders during his visit.
