The Reigning Queen: Beatrice Mazzoni, Miss Roma 2024

On a captivating evening in Rome, amidst the enchanting setting of the Arena del Teatro di Tor Bella Monaca, Beatrice Mazzoni, a 20-year-old Roman with captivating green eyes and brown hair, emerged victorious as the new MISS ROMA. Studying Public and Corporate Communication, her aspiration is to become a television program author. Last Tuesday, she outshone 20 other contestants, carefully selected by Delta Events, to claim her title and secure a spot in the national pre-finals of the 85th Miss Italy contest.

Claiming the second position was Arianna Ciamei, an 18-year-old from Rome. With brown eyes and brown hair, Arianna recently completed her scientific high school diploma and plans to pursue a degree in Engineering. She finds solace in the reading of classic and mystery novels.

Greta Caretta, a 25-year-old Pilates instructor from Rome, secured the third position. With brown eyes and brown hair, Greta holds a degree in Dance-Acting-Singing from America.

    The Distinguished Panel of Judges

Zeudi Di Palma, Miss Italia 2021 (also Miss Napoli 2021), and Martina Sambucini, Miss Italia 2020 (also Miss Roma 2020), along with Maria Maiani, the founder of Maiani Accademia Moda, led the esteemed panel of judges. The 21 contestants were elegantly attired in dreamy creations by Maiani. The judging panel also included Valeria Mangani, former Vice President of Alta Roma and current President of Sustainable Fashion Innovation Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the ecological transition of the fashion and design industry through technological innovation.

    “The Gift of Life”

Beside the judges, special guests, including Nicola Franco, Andrea La Fortuna, and Don Antonio Coluccia, reflected on the essence of Miss Roma Clashes against the backdrop of Tor Bella Monaca. Don Antonio Coluccia, a courageous priest advocating against organized crime and drug trafficking for 25 years, emphasized the value of life in a society often entrenched in death culture. His profound message resonated with the audience, underscoring the significance of appreciating life, youth, and women as the ultimate gifts bestowed upon us.

Moreover, Patrizia Mirigliani, the matriarch of Miss Italia, commended the re-location of Miss Roma to Tor Bella Monaca, highlighting the societal stereotypes against beauty combatting the effort she and Miss Italia Zeudi di Palma discussed in reference to Scampia. This refreshing move signifies a renaissance through the beauty of the contestants.

    The Star-Studded Event

The event was eloquently hosted by Margherita Praticò and impeccably directed by Mario Gori, instrumental figures in the Lazio region’s recent triumphs with national titles clinched by Alice Sabatini, Martina Sambucini, and Lavinia Abate.

A Stop on Miss Italia 2024’s Tour

Miss Roma 2024 marked the seventh stage of Miss Italia Lazio’s tour, showcasing regional finals and special titles within the framework of “Lazio, la bellezza del Talento.” The event, spearheaded by Lazio Innova, celebrated the diverse artistic talents nurtured in the Lazio region, ranging from music to fashion, theater, and cinema.

    The Talent Showcase

The talent display at Miss Roma 2024 featured captivating performances by members of Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini, with artists like Giulia Covitto and Stefano de Santis gracing the stage. Their entrancing performances left the audience in awe, showcasing a blend of musical and theatrical prowess.

The evening also paid homage to educational excellence, with Francesco Stazi and his colleagues from ITS Lazio Digital winning the LET’S CYBER GAME contest. The video presentation received overwhelming applause, underscoring the region’s commitment to fostering technological and artistic talents for the nation’s progress.

Miss Roma 2024 not only celebrated beauty but also served as a platform to honor talent and innovation, embodying the spirit of resilience and creativity that defines the essence of Miss Italia and the Lazio region’s cultural milieu.
