    La pace è un desiderio universale. E se vuoi la pace, preparati alla pace. Questo è il messaggio condiviso da monsignor Visvaldas Kulbokas durante la tavola rotonda a cui ha partecipato, riflettendo sull’inizio dell’invasione russa e sottolineando i gesti di solidarietà che offrono speranza per il futuro.

    Meeting di Rimini, il nunzio a Kyiv: speranza nei gesti.

    I gesti di gentilezza diventano eroici in tempi di guerra, dimostrando la potenza della carità. La testimonianza di monsignor Visvaldas Kulbokas, nunzio apostolico a Kyiv, al Meeting di Rimini ha emozionato il pubblico, rivelando storie di coraggio e solidarietà. Una donna ucraina ha portato aiuti per 60 milioni di dollari nel suo Paese grazie all’aiuto di amici. Un uomo, non appartenente a una chiesa, ha aiutato 280 persone a fuggire. E 800 evacuati da Mariupol sono stati salvati dalla determinazione di una parrocchia protestante. Questi gesti alimentano la speranza e dimostrano che la società civile può affrontare sfide con generosità e impatto positivo.

    Il nunzio riflette sulla capacità della società civile di percepire le minacce in anticipo rispetto alle istituzioni, che spesso sono impreparate di fronte alla guerra. La guerra non segue regole e richiede sforzi straordinari per affrontare le sfide. Tuttavia, la resilienza e la generosità umana possono far fronte alle emergenze e portare speranza in un futuro di pace.

    Oleksandra Matvijcuk, avvocata ucraina e leader dei diritti civili, insieme a testimonianze toccanti di Lali Liparteliani e Anastasia Zolotova dell’organizzazione ucraina “Emmaus”, condividono storie di coraggio e umanità in mezzo al dramma della guerra. Queste testimonianze ispirano a compiere gesti solidali e a mantenere viva la speranza per un domani di pace.
