Two former officials from the Trump administration are joining Kamala Harris’s campaign for the debate and supporting the vice president’s cause against their former boss. Anthony Scaramucci, Trump’s former White House spokesperson, and Olivia Troye, national security advisor to Mike Pence, will present their reasons against the former president in the debate. “Listen to those who know Donald Trump explain why he is unfit for the presidency. They have directly witnessed the failures of the Trump administration,” said Michael Tyler, Harris’s communications director.
National Constitutional Hall in Philadelphia is all set for the big showdown between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, their first in-person meeting. The debate hosted by ABC News lasts 90 minutes with two commercial breaks. It is moderated by David Muir and Lindsey Davis, anchor of ‘World News Tonight’ and ‘Prime,’ respectively.
Trump and Harris each have a podium assigned on the right and left sides of the stage. The allocation was decided by a coin toss, as was the order of final statements, with Trump having the last word. The two candidates must stand behind their podium for the duration of the debate. They are only allowed a pen, a notebook, and a bottle of water. Previously taken notes are prohibited.

Trump and Harris have two minutes each to respond to questions, two minutes for rebuttals, and an additional minute for insights and clarifications. When one speaks, the other’s microphone is muted, a rule criticized by Harris’s campaign, deeming it a disadvantage for the vice president. Despite this, the rule was accepted to allow the first, and perhaps only, debate between the two candidates to take place.
Trump: ‘Feeling Great Ahead of the Debate’
Donald Trump said he is “feeling great” ahead of tonight’s debate with Kamala Harris, accusing his rival of “being less credible.” “You don’t know what to expect. She has changed all her policies over the years,” said the former president in an interview with NBC News.

Advisor: ‘Impossible to Prepare with Trump, It’s Like Fighting Against Ali’
“It’s impossible to prepare to debate with Donald Trump. Imagine a boxer trying to prepare to fight Floyd Mayweather or Mohamed Ali,” said Jason Miller, one of his closest advisors, on the eve of the TV debate with Kamala Harris.
The Kremlin: ‘We Will Not Watch the Debate’
“No, we have no intention of watching it.” Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, responded when asked if the Kremlin would follow the debate between White House candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. “We don’t have expectations; it’s not our business, it’s for the American voters,” Peskov commented, as reported by Interfax.
