Welcome, Newly Ordained Bishops!
Gathered in the heart of the Vatican, bishops ordained in the past year from around the world are embarking on a transformative journey of learning and spiritual growth. This exclusive formation course, also attended by newly consecrated bishops from the Eastern Churches, is a collaboration between the Dicastery for Bishops, the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches, and the Dicastery for Evangelization.
Under the guidance of distinguished figures from the Roman Curia, the bishops have had the privilege of attending a private audience with Pope Francis, celebrating Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica, and engaging in meaningful discussions with key Vatican officials. The course also includes smaller group sessions to facilitate profound dialogue and camaraderie among the participants.
