Welcome to the 2025 Jubilee Year, a time centered on hope and reflection. This special year encourages us to ponder our connections with God, with others, and with the world around us. As we delve into this examination of conscience, guided by the Synod’s invitation to journey together as a synodal Church, we aim to strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and enhance our mission in the global community.

    I. Reflecting on my Relationship with God

    1. Embracing Hope in God

    • Do I trust in God’s promise of salvation during challenging times?
    • Am I nurturing my faith and hope through prayer and the sacraments?
    • Have I prioritized my participation in the Sunday Eucharist and personal prayer?

    2. Engaging with the Word

    • Do I actively listen to and apply the Word of God in my daily life?
    • Do I allow God’s Word to guide my decisions and illuminate my path?

    3. Practicing Gratitude and Praise

    • Do I express gratitude to God for the blessings I receive each day?
    • Have I taken blessings for granted or been unappreciative?

II. Reflecting on my Relationship with Others

    1. Building Community Together

    • Do I value and actively engage with my parish or ecclesial community?
    • Have I shown openness and empathy towards those with differing perspectives?

    2. Embracing Synodality: Listening and Dialogue

    • Have I listened attentively and without bias to those around me?
    • Have I fostered dialogue and reconciliation within my family, community, or workplace?

    3. Practicing Love and Service

    • Have I shown compassion and solidarity towards the less fortunate and marginalized?
    • Have I acted justly, avoiding discrimination and exclusion in all forms?

III. Reflecting on my Relationship with Creation

    1. Stewardship of Creation

    • Am I mindful of my duty to care for the environment as an expression of my faith?
    • Have I adopted sustainable habits to reduce my ecological footprint?

    2. Fostering Hope for Future Generations

    • Have I worked towards leaving a better world for generations to come?
    • Have I promoted a culture of care, respect, and hope in my surroundings?

IV. Reflecting on my Mission in the World

    1. Being a Witness of Christian Hope

    • Have I demonstrated Christian hope in my community, especially in times of crisis?
    • Do I boldly live out my faith with courage and joy, without shame?

    2. Committing to Justice and Peace

    • Have I contributed to building a more just and peaceful society?
    • Have I turned a blind eye to injustice or passively allowed it to continue?

    3. Sharing the Gospel of Hope

    • Do I spread the hope of the Gospel to those around me?
    • Do I strive to be a unifying force in the Church and the world?

    Closing Prayer

Lord, source of our hope, guide me as I walk with you and my fellow brothers and sisters in a spirit of unity, participation, and purpose. Forgive my shortcomings and strengthen my faith so that I may be a beacon of your love in the world. May this Jubilee Year renew my spirit and inspire me to live with joy and hope, always trusting in your boundless mercy. Amen.
