(Adnkronos) – Coca-Cola is once again a Partner of the Sanremo Festival, now in its 75th edition. This moment also marks the reactivation of ‘Every Can Counts’ in the city of flowers, an international project that promotes the collection and recycling of aluminum beverage cans consumed outside the home, during outdoor events. In Italy, this project is promoted by Cial. The initiative is announced in a news article on the Italian National Aluminum Packaging Consortium’s website. Among the many events that the company will organize at the Festival, including talks, meetings, and games, thousands of mini cans will be distributed. An organized system will be in place for the collection and recycling of the many consumed cans. For four years, Coca-Cola has been part of the international Every Can Counts project, managed in Italy by the Cial Consortium and called ‘Every Can Counts’, involving 21 countries worldwide to promote the recycling of beverage cans consumed outside the home, beyond the traditional recycling methods. In Italy, the recycling rate has reached a record level of 93%. In the streets of Sanremo, numerous animators with backpacks and bags will ensure the collection of consumed cans. Thanks to this initiative, the recovered aluminum will be recycled, saving energy and materials. The can is the most recycled beverage container in the world because aluminum can be recycled infinitely and 100%, without losing any of its main characteristics. –sostenibilitawebinfo@adnkronos.com (Web Info)
