Donald Trump recently made a controversial statement regarding the Palestinians, claiming that they have no right to return based on his plan to take control of Gaza.
“No, they wouldn’t, because they will have much better housing,” Trump said in an excerpt from an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News when asked about the Palestinians’ right to return. “In other words, I’m talking about building a permanent place for them,” he explained.
Trump had previously stated his commitment to acquiring and controlling Gaza, but mentioned that he may allocate some areas to other Middle Eastern countries to assist in the reconstruction efforts.
“I will announce tariffs of 25% on steel and aluminum on Monday,” said Donald Trump while speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One, as reported by Bloomberg. Additionally, on Tuesday or Wednesday, Trump will announce reciprocal tariffs that will take effect almost immediately.
During a pre-Super Bowl interview with Fox, Trump also discussed Canada potentially becoming the 51st state of the US, stating that “we lose $200 billion in subsidies to Canada.”
The US President then proclaimed February 9th as “Gulf of America Day” and signed the proclamation aboard Air Force One, as the pilot interrupted to point out that they were flying over the Gulf of Mexico, which Trump had recently renamed.
“We need to come together. But there’s one thing that can make this happen: success. Success brings the country together,” Trump emphasized, noting that the difference between these first three weeks and his first term is that back then, “I faced strong opposition. I didn’t have the support I needed.” “I think it’s a good thing for the president to attend the Super Bowl,” he highlighted.
