Pope Francis to Receive Medical Treatment at Gemelli Hospital
It has been announced that Pope Francis will be admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital for medical treatment related to his bronchitis and to undergo diagnostic tests. The Holy See Press Office confirmed this decision following the Pope’s morning audiences.
Throughout the past few days, Pope Francis has been battling bronchitis, as he himself has mentioned during public appearances. He has delegated the reading of his prepared remarks to his collaborators at recent events, including the Wednesday General Audiences.
On February 6, the Holy See Press Office had initially shared that the Pope was suffering from bronchitis and would be holding his audiences at his residence in the Casa Santa Marta. Now, he will be receiving necessary medical care at Gemelli Hospital to address his ongoing health concerns.
We send our prayers and well wishes for a swift recovery to Pope Francis as he undergoes treatment at Gemelli Hospital.
