Pope Francis Shows Signs of Improvement in Health
Following his admission to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital due to a bout of bronchitis, Pope Francis’ medical therapy has been adjusted, and tests show improvement in certain health parameters, according to a communiqué from the Holy See Press Office.
The director of the Holy See Press Office provided an update on the Pope’s health, stating that laboratory tests indicate an improvement in his condition as he continues to receive treatment for a respiratory infection at the hospital.
Despite his health challenges, Pope Francis spent a restful night at the hospital and received the Eucharist on Saturday morning. He alternated moments of rest with prayer and reading, demonstrating his steadfast faith even in difficult times.
As part of his recovery plan, the medical team has prescribed complete rest for the Pope. As a result, he will not lead the Sunday Angelus prayer, but has prepared a text for its publication instead.
The communiqué also mentioned that Pope Francis is grateful for the messages of support and affection he has received and asks for continued prayers for his recovery.
We join in solidarity with Pope Francis during this challenging time and send our thoughts and prayers for his speedy recovery.
