Five years ago, Aloisia, a resident at Saint Anne’s Home, longed to see her daughter who lived abroad. Struggling with illness and unable to afford proper treatment, Aloisia’s daughter sought help from the Sisters of the Congregation of the Daughters of Saint Anne. Aloisia was admitted to the home in Ulhatu, where she found a new environment filled with care and compassion.
The Home’s New Environment
At Saint Anne’s Home, residents like Aloisia receive round-the-clock care from nurses and assistants who provide not only physical assistance but also emotional support. The atmosphere of prayer at the home instills hope and inner joy in the residents, helping them cope with their suffering.
Sister Jacinta Kerketta, DSA, the hospital Administrator, ensures that all patients receive the care they need, both materially and spiritually. The home was founded to provide comfort and support to the sick, elderly, lonely, and disabled, helping them find the courage to continue living.
Christian Hope for Those Enduring Illness
Through various activities such as walks, counseling, nursing care, and prayer, Saint Anne’s Home offers holistic care to its residents. Patients experience tranquility and hope, and some eventually return home while others choose to stay at the clinic.
For Aloisia, the hope she found at Saint Anne’s Home was transformative. Despite her weakening health, she radiated peace and gratitude, finding solace in prayer. Her daughter, witnessing this transformation, thanked God for the selfless service provided by the Sisters and staff at the home.
