The Vatican Launches New Commission to Promote Donations
Are you looking for a way to support the mission and charitable work of the Holy See? Look no further! Pope Francis has recently established the Commissio de donationibus pro Sancta Sede, a commission dedicated to promoting donations from the faithful, Bishops’ conferences, and other potential benefactors.
Led by Monsignor Roberto Campisi, the Commission consists of five members who will work tirelessly to raise awareness and coordinate fundraising efforts. From running campaigns to seeking funding for specific projects proposed by Vatican institutions, the Commission aims to ensure that the purpose and character of each initiative are respected.
Each year, the Commission will set out fundraising and awareness campaigns, define their scope and strategy, and oversee their implementation. It will also identify and assess projects requiring financial support, establishing priorities for funding. If no projects are submitted by Vatican institutions, the Commission may collect reserve funds to be allocated to future initiatives.
