Pope Francis’ Health Update
By Vatican News
Good news from the Vatican as Pope Francis shows signs of improvement in his health. The Holy See Press Office reported on Thursday morning that the Pope had a restful night and continued to rest well throughout the morning.
According to a brief statement released by the Press Office, “The Pope slept well during the night and is now resting.”
After a slight improvement in his condition over the past couple of days, the statement on Wednesday evening revealed that Pope Francis’ mild kidney insufficiency had subsided. A chest CT scan showed normal progression in lung inflammation, with blood tests confirming the positive trend.
While the Pope is still on high-flow oxygen therapy, he has not experienced any asthma-like respiratory crises. Despite the positive developments, his prognosis remains guarded.
Pope Francis was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14 after being diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia following a bout of bronchitis.
