Witness the thrilling victory of Lando Norris in the McLaren at the Australian Grand Prix, the opening race of the 2025 World Championship. Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari finished in eighth, while Lewis Hamilton’s other Ferrari secured the tenth spot.
Alexander Albon’s Williams claimed fourth place in the Australian Grand Prix, followed by Italian driver Kimi Antonelli in the Mercedes who took fifth. Lance Stroll’s Aston Martin crossed the finish line in sixth, just ahead of Nico Hulkemberg’s Sauber. Oscar Piastri’s McLaren clinched ninth place by overtaking Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari in the final corners of the race, securing a spot in the top ten.
The 2025 Formula 1 World Championship kicked off at Melbourne’s Albert Park in Australia with a wet track due to continuous rain and strong winds.
Norris’s McLaren led the race ahead of Verstappen’s Red Bull from the start. Leclerc’s Ferrari made an impressive climb from seventh to fifth place, while Hamilton maintained his eighth-place position on the grid.
After the first few turns, the race was immediately ‘suspended’ with the entrance of the safety car following an incident involving rookie Jack Doohan, who collided with Alpine and former Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz in the Williams.
After eight laps behind the safety car, the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship resumed on a wet track, with Norris’s McLaren in the lead followed by Verstappen’s Red Bull. Leclerc’s Ferrari settled into fifth place behind Russell’s Mercedes, with Hamilton’s other Ferrari in eighth.
