Mark your calendars for the exciting Open House Roma event happening from 24 May to 1 June. This year, Rome will showcase over 200 of its most captivating buildings, blending history with modernity.
The 13th edition of Open House Roma, themed Patrimonio Futuro – Future Heritage, invites visitors to discover usually restricted buildings. From historic landmarks to contemporary architectural wonders, this nine-day event promises guided tours that are both informative and free.
Aside from building tours, Open House Roma offers a plethora of special events and walking tours, catering to all ages and abilities. Highlights include the spiral staircase at Villa Medici, the iconic Vela by Santiago Calatrava, Nervi’s Palazzetto dello Sport, and the Egyptian Academy.
Other must-see sites include the new Accademia delle Belle Arti, Keats-Shelley House, Bibliotheca Hertziana, and the World Food Programme (WFP).

Open House Roma
Since its inception in 2012, Open House Roma has unlocked the doors to Rome’s diverse architectural wonders, offering access to many intriguing and important structures that are typically off-limits.
Organized by volunteers from the non-profit cultural association Open City Roma, this version of the global Open House initiative has become a significant event in Rome’s cultural calendar.
