Praying for the Cardinals: Radio Maria Africa’s Spiritual Initiative at Kibeho Marian Shrine
As the Cardinals gather to choose a new Pope, Radio Maria Africa has been leading a spiritual initiative to encourage its listeners to pray for this monumental decision. Recently, a prayer event was held at the Marian Shrine of Kibeho in Rwanda, uniting millions of faithful across Africa in prayer.
Paul Samasumo – Vatican City.
The Editorial Coordinator of Radio Maria Africa, Mr. Jean Paul Kayihura, shared with Vatican News that the prayer initiative at Kibeho began last week, ahead of the Conclave. This spiritual endeavor is Africa’s way of supporting the Cardinals as they choose the successor of the Apostle Peter.
Moreover, this initiative aims to unite Africa’s faithful behind the new Pope once elected. The prayers are being broadcast across the Radio Maria network in Africa, reaching English and French-speaking countries.
Kibeho – a Sanctuary of Maternal Consolation
Nathalie Mukamazimpaka, a visionary from Kibeho, has actively participated in the prayer initiatives at the shrine. Her involvement underscores Kibeho’s significance as a place of constant Marian consolation and divine encounter.
Inaugural Mass of the New Pope
Mr. Kayihura also mentioned that Radio Maria Africa aims to broadcast the new Pope’s inaugural Mass to the faithful across the continent. As the world awaits the Conclave’s decision, he urged families to pray together for the Church of Africa.
