“You were the last gift, back in the last century, from someone I loved so much,” Rita had shared on social media. Her thoughts immediately went to Fabrizio Frizzi, with whom she had a long relationship that ended in ’98.
Although she didn’t mention the name of the person who gifted her the car, in the end, love triumphed. After an emotional social media appeal, the thieves returned Rita Dalla Chiesa’s old red Micra. She shared a photo of the car parked outside her home in Rome, in perfect condition, with a caption on Instagram: “It’s back home! They left it in front of the gate last night. A lifetime together, since 1997. Thank you all.” The power of sharing, but also of affection.
