Exciting May Schedule Revealed for Newly Elected Pope

The Prefecture of the Pontifical Household has unveiled the May agenda for the newly elected Pope, including the Regina Caeli on the upcoming Sunday from the Loggia of St. Peter’s, a meeting with the global press, audiences with the Curia and Vatican employees, and the taking possession of the Papal Basilicas.
On Sunday, May 18th, at 10 am in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Leo XIV will celebrate Mass to mark the beginning of his pontificate. This significant event was announced by the Prefecture of the Pontifical Household, which has published the Pope’s schedule for May.
Tomorrow, Saturday the 10th, the Pontiff will meet with the cardinals, and on Sunday the 11th, he will recite the Regina Caeli prayer from the Central Loggia of the Basilica. May 12th is slated for a meeting with the global press who have gathered in Rome to cover events from the death of Pope Francis to the Conclave.
On May 16th, there will be a meeting with the Diplomatic Corps (Heads of Mission), while on Tuesday, May 20th, Pope Leo will take possession of the Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. The following day will see the first general audience on Wednesday.
Saturday, May 24th, will bring another meeting, this time with the Roman Curia and Vatican City State employees. A busy Sunday on May 25th with the Regina Caeli and the taking possession of the Papal Basilicas of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major.
