A Call for Ceasefire and Dialogue
President Zelensky also shared news of a ceasefire agreement for at least 30 days, signaling Ukraine’s dedication to pursuing peaceful negotiations. He extended an invitation to Pope Leo XIV for an Apostolic Journey to Ukraine, believing that such a visit would inspire hope and unity among the people.
Both leaders agreed to maintain communication and plan a face-to-face meeting in the near future to discuss further steps towards ending the conflict and fostering reconciliation.
