
Experience the Jubilee of the Eastern Catholic Churches in the Vatican
Are you ready to witness the beauty and diversity of the Eastern Catholic Churches? From May 12 to 14, the Vatican is hosting a special Jubilee event that showcases a series of Divine Liturgies in various Eastern rites.
Day 1: May 12
The festivities kicked off with a liturgy in the Ethiopian rite at Saint Peter’s Basilica, followed by a Divine Liturgy in the Armenian rite at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major. The day concluded with a Coptic liturgy in the same basilica.
Day 2: May 13
The celebrations continue with a Divine Liturgy in the East Syriac rite at Saint Peter’s, led by the Chaldean and Syro-Malabar Churches. Vespers will be held in the evening, followed by the Akathist hymn in praise of the Mother of God.
Day 3: May 14
The final day includes an audience with Pope Leo XIV and a Divine Liturgy in the Byzantine rite at Saint Peter’s, celebrated by various Byzantine rite Churches.
