Exciting news for movie fans! Lionsgate, the renowned production and distribution company, has been selected to partner with director Mel Gibson and Bruce Davey’s Icon Productions for the highly anticipated film “The Resurrection of the Christ,” the sequel to the iconic “The Passion of the Christ.”
The announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, on May 15.
“‘The Resurrection of the Christ’ is a film that has been eagerly awaited by audiences worldwide. It promises to be a breathtaking and epic cinematic experience,” stated Fogelson in a press release.
He continued, “Mel Gibson is a visionary director, and this project holds special significance for him. I have had a long-standing relationship with Mel and Bruce, spanning three decades, and I am thrilled to collaborate with them once again on this monumental project.”
“Lionsgate’s fearless and innovative approach, coupled with their can-do attitude, makes them the perfect choice for distributing ‘The Resurrection of the Christ,'” remarked Gibson.
