Welcome to the Roma Dream Blog!
After a weekend of hope inspired by codes extracted from the Friedkin video, Roma fans are now experiencing a Monday evening filled with dreams. Fueling this dream is an article from La Stampa, the first major newspaper to officially discuss Jurgen Klopp’s potential move to Roma. The article evokes a conclave atmosphere with an eloquent title: “Habemus Mister,” referring to the smoke signal of a potential Roma announcement. This same rumor was later picked up by Ansa, increasing the visibility of the news.
“Klopp has said yes”
According to La Stampa, the negotiations for Roma’s new coach are now in the final stages. After weeks of rumors and subtle signals, the former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund coach has reportedly accepted the proposal from the Roman club. Klopp’s agreement, as reported by the Turin newspaper, came at 10:57 pm on Sunday, May 18, immediately after the final whistle of the Roma vs. Milan match. The German coach, initially in talks with another club, is said to have changed course to seriously consider Roma’s offer.

Who’s buying Roma: “The market agreed with Klopp”
However, the La Stampa rumor, penned by Enrico Testa, provides additional details: Klopp’s arrival would kickstart an ambitious and eventful transfer market. The plan includes six new signings, split between three starters and three alternatives, in addition to two Primavera young talents who will be assessed during the summer retreat.
Regarding reinforcements: there’s talk of a starting central defender from the Austrian league (name kept under wraps), a foreign right winger for the flank, and a center forward, with Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca among the top-rated profiles. To complete the squad, they are considering another central defender (with Parma’s Leoni in the lead), a reserve midfielder (Cagliari’s Prati and a Torino player are favorites), and the option of Atta from Udinese still stands.
If the young Pisilli remains, they could aim for Atalanta’s emerging talent, Palestra: a versatile defender that Atalanta seems reluctant to part with in the short term.
