After the great success of the first two editions, the highly anticipated TIBUR OPEN GYM is back by popular demand. This event is dedicated to sports, wellness, and promoting an active and inclusive lifestyle.
The event will take place on the weekend of May 30th to June 1st, 2025. On Friday, May 30th, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and on Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, in the greenery of the picturesque Parco Bei, the beating heart of the IV Municipality of Rome (Via di Casal Bruciato). Admission is free.
This event, promoted by the IV Municipality, is organized by the ASD Cast Sub Roma 2000, in collaboration with the associations CSR Promotion and Smile Events.
A RENEWED SUCCESS
Created with the aim of enhancing the educational, social, and cultural role of sports, TIBUR OPEN GYM has quickly established itself as a reference point in the city, involving thousands of participants in previous editions: families, schools, associations, and enthusiasts of all ages. The overwhelming enthusiasm has motivated the Sports Department of the IV Municipality to further enhance the offerings, making the 2025 edition even richer and more engaging.
A 360° SPORTS EXPERIENCE – PARTICIPATION, INCLUSION, INNOVATION
The official opening will take place on Friday, May 30th at 8:30 am, with a morning dedicated to students from primary and secondary schools involved in the project.
FOR THE 2025 EDITION, OVER FIFTEEN SPORTS AREAS ARE PLANNED. ACTIVITIES WILL RANGE FROM:
PAST SPORTS: bell ringing, tug of war, capture the flag, jump rope, and other traditional games.
PRESENT SPORTS: soccer, spinning, mini volleyball, basketball, mini tennis, hockey, climbing, badminton, chess, table tennis, archery, target shooting, golf, teqball, pickleball. There will also be an area dedicated to water sports, with sailing and surfing simulators.
FUTURE SPORTS: a technological area dedicated to eSports, with driving simulators and interactive digital devices to promote conscious technology use among the younger generation. There will also be coding workshops, psychomotor skills courses, and inclusive activities designed for people with disabilities, focusing on true accessibility and participation.
Special attention will also be given to the Over 65s with gentle gymnastics led by qualified coaches, promoting physical and mental well-being at all ages.
THE HEART OF IT ALL: THE YOUTH
In confirmation of the strong connection with the community and the school environment, the event will kick off with activities dedicated to schools. Students from Amerigo Vespucci School will be actively involved through the PCTO projects, putting their acquired skills into practice and directly contributing to the organization and management of activities. A concrete demonstration that sports are also about education and responsibility.
