Israeli army has completed the withdrawal from the Netzarim corridor as part of the ongoing ceasefire agreement, a Hamas official stated. The corridor, approximately 6 km wide, divides the Strip in half and was created during the conflict against Hamas. “Israeli forces have dismantled their positions and military outposts and have completely withdrawn their tanks from the Netzarim corridor on Salaheddin Street, allowing vehicles to pass freely in both directions,” said the official from the Hamas-run Interior Ministry.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describes US President Donald Trump’s plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza as “very good, the first new idea in years.” “It has the potential to change everything in Gaza,” Netanyahu said in an interview released on Fox News before his return from Washington. “It is not a forced eviction, nor ethnic cleansing. Everyone talks about Gaza as an open-air prison, so why keep these people in prison? The citizens of Gaza will be able to return to their homes after reconstruction, provided they renounce terrorism.”
Wafa, ‘Pregnant Palestinian Woman Killed by IDF in West Bank’
A 23-year-old Palestinian woman, Sundus Jamal Shalabi, and her unborn child were killed today by Israeli forces (IDF) during the assault on the Nour Shams camp east of Tulkarem. This was reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The Ministry of Health reported that Sundus, eight months pregnant, was killed while her husband sustained serious head injuries from gunshot wounds. The ministry also indicated that the medical teams in Tulkarem were unable to save the baby due to IDF obstruction of access to medical care. Sundus and her baby arrived at the hospital deceased, while her husband was transferred to a hospital in Ramallah due to the severity of his condition. The Israeli army had prevented the teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent from reaching the injured inside the Nour Shams camp, but after some time, the teams managed to reach Sundus and her husband, transporting them to the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem. However, they were unable to reach two other injured individuals inside the camp. Eyewitnesses told Wafa that Israeli snipers, stationed in occupied buildings, opened fire on Sundus and her husband in the al-Saleheen area of the camp as they tried to leave their home and find a safer place. With the killing of Sundus Shalabi, the number of victims in Tulkarem and its camps during the current Israeli assault has risen to six.
